Update 10.0 – March into Rio Bravo
"The town of Old Tascosa ain't waiting for permission — it's carving its future in iron and blood."
Howdy, partners! The long-awaited Tier 7 is finally here — and it couldn’t come at a better time. Westland Survival turns 7, and this update is our gift to all the loyal cowboys who’ve ridden with us through thick and thin!
Arthur Crooker needs your help to finish the steel bridge, lay the last stretch of railroad, and secure a vital oil rig deep in the wild frontier. The reward? Access to the unexplored Rio Bravo Territory — a scorched land of canyons, outlaws, and raw opportunity.
Reach level 115, complete the Teklanika storyline, and tackle the new questline to unlock the region and dive into a wave of fresh content: dangerous locations, ruthless enemies, powerful gear, and a wild new ecosystem.
The Rio Bravo Territory is opening — and it’s waiting for pioneers.
Old Tascosa
Welcome to Old Tascosa — a remote frontier town built on pride, coal, and old grudges. Ruled by Mayor Dolan, it trusts no outsiders and answers to no law but its own.
This is your main hub in the Rio Bravo Territory — a place to rest, trade, and plan your next move. Between the sunlit stone streets and clattering trams, you’ll find:
— A regional task board offering challenges and well-earned rewards.
— New vendors, including bartender Santiago Delgado and grocer Isabel Morales.
— Your own home, which you’ll rebuild during the story to unlock personal storage right in the city.
Old Tascosa may be rough around the edges, but it’s where your southern journey begins.
New locations
The untamed Rio Bravo Territory is full of danger, mystery, and opportunity. Four new locations await — each with its own threats, secrets, and rewards:
— Sandskar Canyon — A sun-scorched labyrinth of cliffs, dust, and echoes. Bandits nest high above, striking from ledges and caves with ruthless precision. If you enter, keep your head low — and your gun ready.
— Prickly Lake — A quiet oasis nestled among sunbaked rock and scattered greenery. The clear water and sparse shade offer some relief — but danger still hides in the undergrowth, and you're not the only one drawn to its promise.
— Hell’s Hollow — A twisted gash in the desert floor, long abandoned and whispered about in every saloon. The deeper you go, the louder the echoes of gunfire and betrayal. What hides at the bottom is no longer just legend.
— Oil derrick — Rising from the dust like a monument to ambition, the oil rig holds the key to power — but it won’t come without a fight. Greed, sabotage, and survival all collide here. You’ll live its story before you claim its reward.
Step Into Tier 7
A new Tier means new possibilities. Farm new resources, upgrade key benches, and craft powerful gear built for the harshest battles yet.
Full details below — dive in and see what the South has to offer.
New Resources
— Pecan Log — Sturdy southern wood with a long, steady burn. Handy for crafting and fueling high-end projects.
— Limestone — A deceptively soft-looking stone, tougher than it seems. A key material for building and refining
— Molybdenum Ore — A dense and volatile metal, hard to handle but crucial for high-end production. Keep your cool while working with it.
— Prime Meat — Juicy, rich meat that pets go wild for. Boosts their recovery and keeps them full longer.
— Dense Hide
— Thick, durable leather that won’t tear under pressure. A reliable base for crafting gear.
— Wool — Soft and warm, freshly sheared from local sheep. A new source of fabric, perfect for insulating clothes — as long as you keep it dry.
— Texas Bluebonnet — A rare healing herb. Pretty to look at, priceless when you’re bleeding.
And of course, almost all of these materials have secondary processing recipes available at their respective benches.
Benches upgrades
The following benches can now be upgraded to Tier 7: Gun Workbench, Armor Workbench, Forge, Foundry, Tool Bench, Carpenter Table, Stone Cutter, Kitchen, Bonfire, Detail Bench, and Field.
Most storages have also received extra space and can now be upgraded to Tier 7 — except Chests, Ingredients, and Trinkets.
