To build an Alliance base, you will need some rare resources that are not so easy to find in the wilderness of Westland. However, don’t forget that bandits are always up to something (robbing caravans, for example), and they manage to aquire and put even such unique items into their chests.
So, try looking for these rarities in the Bandits’ Camps and daily event locations — who knows, maybe one of the bandits will be carrying the items you are striving to find!
To obtain some Active Projects’ bonuses you may also need other special resources.
Special resources do not get spent completely at the time the bonus is activated. Their number gets progressively decreased with time.

Creosote
| That's exactly what the railroad ties are treated with. A Railway station can't be built and upgraded without it. How to find: Get it as a prize on the Gold Rush Leaderboard. |
Blasting machine | Required for upgrading Alliance Gold Mine. How to find: Get it as a prize on the Gold Rush Leaderboard. |

Coffee
| Required for the Alliance Headquarters upgrade. How to find: Find it on Event locations. |
Whiskey
| Bar Rack allows you to have a meal a few times a day and fully restore the hunger and thirst bars. But there is no Saloon in the Wild West that will serve clients if there is not enough booze in the repository. If you want to have a meal, make sure there is enough Whiskey in the building! How to find: Find it on any resource location. |
Dynamite
| Blasting works in the Gold Mine double up the ore output. How to find: Find it on any resource location or craft at your Ranch. |
